The UT Global Initiative for Education and Leadership (UTGI) works with Fatima Jinnah Women University (FJWU) in Pakistan through the South Asia Institute’s (SAI) three-year exchange, made possible in part by a January 2013 grant from the US Department of State/United States Embassy in Islamabad, Pakistan. The embassy has invested $8.5 million in eight university collaborations to take place over three years which focus on a range of liberal arts subjects, including: American Studies, Business Administration and Management Sciences, Mass Communications and Media Studies, Psychology, Social Anthropology, and Women’s and Gender Studies.
